And what, exactly, is wrong with diversity? Or equity? Or inclusion? Aren't those things that we should be striving for?

SrA John Monette I'm assuming your comment is made with tongue firmly in cheek as I also give you credit for much less naviete. I could be wrong. How do you define those three terms so that we can couch our responses from the same starting line? That aside, marines, sailors, airmen, and soldiers are all about force projection, not about destructive social experimentation. . "Now loose the dogs of war....... "!

CWO4 Terrence Clark Oh Comrade Xi above is totally serious about his statement. He is all about a kinder, gentler, and more inclusive military. He (sorry I do not know your preferred pronouns Xi) believes a diverse military is far better than one that is based upon the most lethal.

Agreed. Often these guys pop off but cannot articulate their position. Never sure how they interpret DEI. I'm generally for diversity as long as standards are not lowered. For equality of opportunity --- against equity of outcome. Inclusion is great as long as everyone buys a round when it's their turn. I'm certainly against this Red Guard mindset about apologizing for something you didn't do.

CWO4 Terrence Clark - "we" being the US military ;o) Don't pretend to be ignorant of military history. The military's historic mistreatment of women and minorities is a large, well documented stain on our honor.
Don't be angry at the people trying to fix it.
And no, I'm a former Republican, now Independant.
And the KKK was formed by Confederate veterans, not the Democrats. If you look around you, there's someone waving Confederate flags around, but it's not the Democrats.
As for your fears of child rape, again, predominantly Republicans you have to worry about.
While both parties are garbage, one is definitely worse than the other...

You can't "fix" the past. It is idiotic for people who didn't do anything to apologize to people who have nothing done to them.
"Angry" is like "phobia" -- words often misused in an effort to shut down a conversation.
You might want to review the close ties between the Ds and the KKK. Including Senator Byrd and Billary Clinton. Yes, I know Byrd claimed to have disavowed his beliefs, but under the Democrat's own rules, a son is the past taints you forever.
Can't sidestep the issue of Democrat elected officials protecting that predator, while trashing his victim.
We some level of agreement on your last point. My description is usually that the two parties are much like having one hand filled with cat s**t and the other filled with horse s**t. One hand smells marginally better than the other.
