It's good that the Marines are getting much deserved upgrades and new gear which will help make them more effective on the battlefield, but I just want Army to get theirs to we need new gear especially in terms of armor and weapons.

PFC (Join to see) - a decade or so ago I worked with HQDA ODCS G-4 and PEO Soldier on OCIE, protective clothing [SAPI plate] issues, and camo pattern issues. The discussions involved DLA and HQDA ODS G-3.
In those days and I believe still now NATICK labs supported both the US Army and USMC ground soldiers. Since Congress funds and has oversight of these issues, it makes sense for conventional forces of US Army and USMC to be equipped with similar items which may be patterned with different camouflage as required.
Special operators have unique requirements.

LTC Stephen F. - it's the IOTV they are to big and encompassing on the soldier to make us very mobile. As far as weaponry let's just say we could use some upgraded M4 maybe a full switch to M4A1

New Soldier armor weighs less, offers more options
WASHINGTON (Army News Service) -- The average generation II improved outer tactical vest weighs about 26 pounds. But the new torso and extremity protection system, or TEP, under development now at Program Executive Office Soldier, sheds about five pounds of weight and also adds a wide degree of scalability that commanders can make use of depending on threat level and mission. The TEP is part of the new Soldier Protection System under...

SSgt (Join to see) - lol it's an Army thing SSGt. Hard to change habits like SSG. I've got former Marine friends that I served with who would write SSGt like the USMC taught them even though they were in the Army.

What are you talking about? literally everything they had the Army has been getting for years, minus the opscore helmets and suppressors.
