U.S. Troops in Standoffs With Russian Military Contractors in Syria

USAF lost an AC-130H (Jockey 14) off Kenya while we were anchored off Somalia. We all wore GLINT tape ashore for friend or foe id. We pulled anchor to help but it was too late. We also lost a USN SAR bird during Translant, the one survivor was brought to our deck by Special Boat guys in their RHIB. Dislocated shoulder, and shaken bad. They were practicing night doppler hover and dropped like a rock. Seconds to prepare. They corralled the ships and we pulled every NVG or thermal sight we could on all decks to look, very eerie scene.
