The only issue is the support for AMD graphics cards. They dropped support for AMD fglrx/Catalyst and went with the open source version which has far less features than the one from AMD. There are already people complaining about performance issues across multiple forums.
If you need fglrx support, do not upgrade to 16.04. Stick with 14.04 LTS or 15.10 until they figure something out.

SN James Shaw I tend to use Linux on my laptops, and I also use nVidia cards, so I was unaware of the AMD problem. The driver issue is why I stopped using Fedora in 2007. When I upgraded my install from Fedora 7 (Moonshine) to Fedora 8 (Werewolf), the AMD drivers needed the previous version's kernel to work properly. So I switched to Ubuntu 7.10. I hope they figure something out soon.

Why did Canonical create snappy if there are other already made protocols? Canonical seems to be on a power trip, the way I look at it. I would agree with labeling Ubuntu spyware for that stance on uploading search results. Luckily, Ubuntu-based is not Ubuntu. I used Ubuntu for one day and didn't like the DE and especially that search function.

SGT (Join to see) I can't agree more. I love how other distros can build themselves off of the Ubuntu platform and make something more stable and in my opinion, better. I think that Canonical has gotten what I call the "Not Invented Here" disease.

SSgt Mark Lines - Had to look that one up. I'd agree, though. I almost made a distro myself until I found Uberstudent. I didn't know if I was going to try Linux From Scratch or simply tweaking things over a stripped LTS Ubuntu/Debian.
