Never thought of it that way, but it makes a lot of sense.

The older generations who weren't saturated by tech went outside a played when we were kids. We used excess energy, daily. These kids today are less and less likely to have an outlet to relieve that energy because parents use tech as a buffer between themselves and the kids and kids use it to avoid awkward social interactions that helped us evolve into productive adults.

Scary isn’t it. When I went in the Navy a bunch of recruits in my boot camp company were scared of our company commander. I told them they would have never survived under my Dad’s loving hand of discipline.

Excellent points and observations that are often overlooked all the time. The generation of youth today cannot cope with adversity and want everything and everyone around them to change so they can exist. This is the future of our Republic and it scares the crap out of me.
