There is a VERY good reason why THE top tank in the world today (still) does NOT have an autoloader. Would LOVE to hear from the 19 Series Army MOS/CMF AND corresponding USMC Armor folks here because they'll tell you that the "autoloader" is WAY WAY overrated. I will tell you this from experience as well...RUSSIAN Armor (tanks) are WAY overrated as well, they always have been because of the secrecy and lack of common knowledge concerning their programs.
The BBC and the talking heads (including all of their sources) make a lot of hay about everything Russian these days...all it is is a replay of the old once a week "special reports" on the major US networks during the 70's and 80's. It was always about how we could NEVER win a war against the Soviets because of their "superiority" in every aspect....BUT it was mainly about scaring the public into electing politicians in office who would capitulate to them. They especially did these reports around the times of the Carter/Ford and Reagan/Carter elections.
Notice within the first few sentences of this article the BIG name drop?? "TRUMP wants to cut NATO money...." (not verbatim) but essentially that is the gist of it. They just cannot help themselves and they will use anything as a scare tactic...ESPECIALLY when they loathe the candidate in question.
So...in a post about HUMINT we are learning about the PSYOPS that the press is using and that it's a replay of 40 years ago during the Cold War. The "article" is another 'much ado about nothing' concerning a tank that we already have a REALLY good idea about, and one that isn't of too great concern and one that we KNOW is FRAUGHT with problems. If the Brits want a tank to stand up against it then they need to get with the program and buy Abrams or go German....either way they'll outclass the Armata by a good bit.
