Good story. At least the author was honest and accurate; "They were famous - newspapers wrote about them, they published scientific papers under their own names. But they were virtually forgotten during the next century." Interesting that the author did not state the small group that had not forgotten and in major published papers and other writings have actually referenced them. That small group - astronomers.
What is sad about this story and many others is that the current 20 to 30+ year old (a majority of them) does not care about this and many other things unless it fits inside their beliefs and their 'personal' agenda.
