UPMC moves forward with plans for 636-bed hospital in Pittsburgh's Oakland

I've only been here for 5 years, and it has changed quite a bit (positively) just during that time frame. Interesting connection about Baylor. I taught for Baylor for five years (at Fort Sam and on main campus), and I have three Baylor grads in my program here at Pitt (one faculty, and two students). Tell her I said "Sic 'em Bears".

LTC Kevin B. - Thank you, I will keep that in mind sir! She is finishing her junior year (High School) now and just took her ACT so we are just now getting into the mix of it. She is determined she wants to study Oncology. My wife grew up in Pittsburgh and I lived there for many years so I want her to go to PITT so she is close to family. That would still put her about 2 hours away from mom and dad, but close enough we could still see her on breaks.

SSG (Join to see) - I can certainly understand you wanting her to be somewhat closer. Either way, she's certainly is looking at having good options. Pitt's med school is ranked higher, but Baylor is certainly very reputable. Both are connected to very reputable cancer centers too in Hillman and MD Anderson. Best wishes to her and your family.
