Just found this interesting. Money from our allies is playing a huge role in foreign policy for military support. The cost sharing requirement has always been there but it feels like it's been publicized more the last few years.

There has always been a cost sharing between the US and host nations. This isn’t new but the amount publicizing it is a new thing.
