Well if we stayed on track in 2009-2010 and then 2011, and left troops for about two more years most of these problems wouldn't have came around.

I know comments are going to go off on me, because my point of view. I was there in the beginning and we did things wrong then and I was also there in the end of OIF and was part of OND. I was on a Joint Task Force coordinating and overseeing reconstruction and helping with formation of Government. Coordinated and worked with Training MITT teams and PRT'S, so I know some on this subject. We had Iraqis that worked with us day to day and others we were in contact with all the time, and most of them did not want us to leave and many feared their lives would change when we left. We should have stayed period, now we have to go back build on broken relationships and the trust and bonds we broke by leaving when we did. Again this personnel opinion I feel I have the right been there done that, and yes we lost four personnel while I was there for a year and I was blown up, but would go back again if it meant trying to help Iraq.

CPO (Join to see) I don't know why anyone would go off on you based on this statement. Our withdrawal, and the lack of well trained forces is one of the things "experts" have pointed too as allowing the rise of ISIS. How much of that is political grand standing, and how much is based on real hard data, I don't know, but your opinion seems to be in line with that.
