Strengthening the defenses of eastern Europe is a worthy goal. Let hope the next POTUS is much more like POTUS Ronald Reagan and nothing like POTUS Obama in terms of foreign diplomacy and leveraging the military as an extension of foreign policy.
Too many of our allies have been left to rot or be slaughtered by the current administration. From teh baltic through Ukraine to Iraq and Afghanistan those who risked their lives to assist the USA were treated horribly by our nation. What the past few years of foreign lack of policy reminds me of how we lef so many Vietnamese to be killed in South Vietnam when we back sout. At least in those days we made an effort to bring many out. In Iraq and Afghanistan we alienated our friends while so much effort has been expended to take care and make a home away from home for Syrians most of whom couldn't care a rat's ass for us. Those Syrians and Kurds who do care about freedom and fought for it and in fact are fighting for it have been left on the vine by our national leadership much of the time.
