Although you seem to know something about the “Ranger Tab”, you act as though they hand out these tabs for promotions.
To be “tabbed”, one has to pull super human inner strengths and spill a lot blood, sweat, and tears to get through Ranger School so to speak. Wearing the Ranger Tab shows lesser soldiers you had what it took to earn it. Most soldiers look up to soldiers who have graduated Ranger School as mentors in their specialties.
To be a Scrolled and “tabbed” Ranger in a Regiment, well think of them as “Superheroes”.
Oh, by the way, officers, and enlisted can attend Ranger School. Rank has no bearing while in school. Your a student regardless of what rank you came to school as. At least it was that way when I was in Ranger School.
Try to attend if you have the opportunity. You will have a better appreciation for life and you will be a better person throughout the rest of it. Every human has their limitations and Ranger School will introduce you to some of them.
And lastly, yeah the “tab” does look cool on your uniform.
