We have been there for some time, we built several SOF compounds there, and some CA work when security allows. I think it is good that they are going to take the gloves off. We have same little missions like this all over Africa, it's a good thing that most stay below the radar.

With all the things the U.S. military is doing in Africa, its amazing to me how little is known to the American public. We have been very active in Africa for a long time. However, we have never quite committed. We need to with go "all in" or get out. Its about time we stop half-assing it.

I completely agree, but up until this point we have been severely hindered in how we go about the fight, although this appears to be a step in the right directions.

Not thrilled about this, Mogadishu is still fresh in my mind.

Yes, I remember it like it was yesterday....but as bad as it was, and that was a horrible day, our hands were tied by the POTUS...this appears to be a little different.

That's what happens with an impotent president backed by UN leadership. Hope with Mattis and Trump, our troops will not be abandonded.
