Science: A defined process where a scientist presents a falsifiable hypothesis. Then through systematic observation and documentation, performs and measures the results of a repeatable experiment. If the results do not conform with the hypothesis, the scientist may make a NEW hypothesis and test it. If other scientists are unable to repeat the experiment under similar conditions and get the same results, the results are UNVERIFIED and subject to professional critique. One thing a scientist may NEVER do, is adjust the data to force the results to conform to his hypothesis.
(keep reading, keep studying science and the scientific method, and remain skeptical of those who are very certain of their answers but very unwilling to share their data and methodology)

MSG Dan Walther - That's where I was going. Objective, critical reasoning has led many (including myself) to criticize and question the validity of many climate change claims. Until and unless the study shows its data, process, and results in enough detail for other scientists to replicate the work, it is an unverified claim.

Who is this "leading climatologist" that the author refers to? I read the article a couple of times and can't figure that out. Interestingly, every actual climatologist I've listened to or read denies man-made climate change.

I think Democracy remains safer in the hands of skeptics who don't demand your money than in the hands of alarmists who do.

When you have Nobel winning scientist leaving The American Physical Society because you can't discuss climate change then you have to ask yourself why can't they discuss it? Is it really that will understood that further discussion is pointless? If it is that well understood why do climate models and climate scientists predictions repeatedly fail?
