I do not know a lot about our involvement in Syria. This article reads we are increasing our commitment there. It would be great to read someone's post that understands this issue and help me see more clearly why our personal are on the ground in these numbers.

Yeah, I don't know the deal, but it might be another bad move. Russia is "moving out" to some extent, but who's side they're on is up for debate.
