I call BS on this as there were several air liners that were contracted by Air Mobility Command (AMC), and from what I know Tower Air was owned by some of trumps companies but he sold them before Gulf war was already on contract to provide troops trans port. They had several air lines most of them were the ones going out of business like the one my unit flew back on and that was Pan Am. Now there was some back up when troops arrived in the US at JFK and they did not have enough plans to fly in CONUS. My community fly's by these means every 6 months so we have it down pat with AMC and flight s are for our unit it is not as easy as sending a plan over and flying home. So with this one I know it does not say they flew over to the Gulf and flew them home and this may have happen here in CONUS. This is a similar story and the troops is a Privet with a scout company and they were stranded. I don't buy it and I was there they had flights coming in 24 hrs. and one heck of a system to get us out. Here is the link with another story. By the way Pan Am and the others did it free also just full coast.
