US navy fires commander who raised alarm about coronavirus on ship

The Commanding Officer onboard USS Theodore Roosevelt was fired after voicing concerns regarding the spread of COVID-19 on his ship and requesting help. There are surely details of this case that didn't make it into the article...but I'm curious...what are your thoughts? Was termination a fair and/or reasonable response?
