All I know is, that ludicrous stuff on Okinawa's been going on a really, really long time now, truthfully, I quite honestly can't fault the population there and or also in japan generally for getting extremely weary of such childish, infantile, needless antics. All the more given the level of clear societal damage such totally unwarranted antics cause, let alone all of the international flap the whole thing causes. Those guys on Okinawa just really need to basically knock that stuff off, I think; ww2 was over half a century ago, and those guys on Okinawa need to understand they're guests of the population there, not permanent residents, it's not their island, to do on it whatever they please, in some ridiculously childish moment, that only serves to bring needless attention to the whole problem. I think, that's all I'm trying to suggest, many thanks, hope this was of interest, be most eager to hear any other thoughts, certainly, by all means, whenever convenient.

I posted earlier as to the harse punishment of an NCO on our base that was caught by Japanese police. There is NO grey area when this is involved. Such a sad mark against those who remain to serve and defend. I'm wondering why liberty hasn't been curtailed in light of so many types of assaults on the island. But then I'm out of the loop. My bases were on the main island of Japan and quite some time ago. 88 thru early 90.
