SCPO (Join to see) - Pacific Command. Admiral Harris. Isn't PACFLT a subordinate command to PACOM? I could be wrong. Edit: I think I'm using my-gen terminology, Chief. Now it's called US Pacific Command. I looked it up. It contains ALL US forces (ie all 5 services) in the pacific. So PACFLT is under him as well. Which is why, if they relieve Adm. Harris, that'd be a pretty big deal.

SN Greg Wright Yes he would be. PACOM is the Combatant Commander and highest ranking officer for the region, PACFLT provides the Naval Assets that PACOM needs to complete required missions in the AOR. PACOM's boss is the President via SECDEF. I think these issues are out of PACOM's scope of responsibilities, he lays down the requirement to the services and it is their responsibility to provide properly trained and equipped units to meet the requirement, or notify him if they cannot.
VADM Rowden is COMNAVSURFPAC who owns all the ships as material things but has no operational control over any of them. He is also responsible for training.
The CNO though.......
