You knew this was only a matter of time. My question here is does the risk increase or decrease with numbers? Are we at such a low number that it makes it more likely or when you have so many in country we are bigger targets?

I honestly feel that as we decrease troops, we increase the death rate. With more Iraqis abandoning their post and us (SOF Troops) having to fill in to assist and advise because they don't know what their doing, it increases our chance of death coming to us which is what unfortunately happened today.

I happen to agree with you. I didn't have facts to back up my belief but its something I have felt for awhile. This half assed buildup may actually cost more lives than going head long into it.

I didn't have facts to really back me up too but that's just how I feel, and as we start to increase which I know will most certainly happen as we get more involved with Iraq and their "Security and Buildup" we may see less and less deaths, but who knows it may be the other way around since eventually we will be opening an ROE and letting Infantry Soldiers and Marines conduct Counter-Terror and Intelligence such operations, but I also may be wrong since with the increase of Troop presences we also increase security and safety.
