this makes me want to punch a wall. Why the hell are we constantly REACTING to others?
do NOT tailor jack shit to somebody elses' initiatives. look to the future and build for the future.
what did Gen. Maddog Mattis say? 'Be polite, be professional, have a plan to kill everyone you see'.
polite & professional is fine... where is the damn plan?
time for the world to worry about what WE are doing, not the other way around.

ya know... there are two courses we REALLY need to emphasize in our classroom.
1) marksmanship & firearms safety
2) chess

Sgt Wayne Wood - used to be hunter's safety courses and chess clubs. I know my hunter's safety course actually had a "range day", too.

SSgt (Join to see) yeah i know.
But what if marksmanship/weapons safety was a course for credit NOT just a single class... same for chess (or Go), a part of the curriculum NOT an extra-curricular activity.
It can’t hurt. If we’re going to waste education on non-traditional shit like trans-gender history & it’s impact on feminist studies then maybe we can waste it on something useful.

Sgt Wayne Wood - Careful, now. You're starting to make sense. We can't just go and try to teach kids useful things for the real world. I mean, we all KNOW that the real world runs on philosophy and feelings anyways.

We are looking at another arms race of sorts. China is a major military power and wants the respect of a super power.

LTC Greg Henning True. While their wealth outshines Russia's, their technology is behind Russia. We are still top dog...for now.

yup... China want's to go from local power to regional power to world power to superpower all in one fell swoop.
problem is... until XI i wouldn't think it was possible. now it may be.
his only limitation is his economy. he has manpower, he's getting technology.

Sgt Wayne Wood - Yup. They aren't expanding faster than they are able, either. A problem we, sadly, do not share.
