Brigadier General Cindy R. Jebb was appointed the Academic Dean at West Point this summer. We had a chance to discuss the value of public speaking and the liberal arts in military education after she officiated the Army vs Navy debate team match night before the football game in Baltimore.

Very nice lady. Had a chance to sit with her at a 100th night dinner a couple of weeks ago. Her husband was even nicer. Good luck to her.

Col. Thank You, In the book about DARPA, the "Pentagon's Brain" there is a section describing the work done to win "Hearts and Minds" in places like Iraq and Afghanistan. They described the value of social science background for military officers benefiting the process for building relationships. Gen Jebb spoke to this point in her remarks at the debate and in our interview. Thank you again. Ken
