Mail and packages are lost all the time and the only reason this is news today because it can be used to hit President Trump. If people cared about these people as much as they hate the President, this man would never be in this situation. Same goes for immigrants and minorities.

He needs to find a better delivery method. The USPS says never send cash because the mail is neither safe nor secure. The Social Security Administration quit sending checks years ago because of rampant tampering, fraud, and theft that the post office was unable to prevent.
Reading between the lines, this guy's medicine is sitting there in the local post office because the workers are using covid 19 as a reason not to work (6th paragraph of the article) and the union is undoubtedly protecting them, just like the police unions cover for and protect cops like those guys who killed Mr. Floyd in Minneapolis. It is a mess. I hope he can figure out a safe and efficient method to obtain his medications.
Good article, thanks.

As the gentleman states in the article, he hasn't had this big of an issue until now. I wonder what changed?

I never use the USPS to mail anything of importance. One year they lost all my tax documents that I had sent to my accountant. Thankfully I had copies. Never again.
