I like picking the worst day to describe your condition. Also I like the advice of having a spouse attend. I have reached a "new normal" when regular days are OK, however, I still feel anxiety and depression.

At my last C&P exam for PTSD review, my wife was not allowed to be in the room. The examiner flat out refused and said "if I think we need her we can bring her in at some point later, during the exam"....I was more than an little upset with the examiner and let her know it. I told her I was already anxious enough and had been for the past two weeks leading up to the exam, not sleeping, on edge, you name it. I almost walked out, but my wife talked me into staying and going ahead with the exam. She assured me she would be down the hall in the waiting room and I ended up going into the exam room; after all we did drive 3 hours to the exam....but I was not at all happy about it. Kind of created a very anxious moment for me to say the least. The good news is that the examiner saw a side of me that showed many of the symptoms I deal with regularly....all in one package. Especially the Anger, Anxiety, Hyper Vigilance (I really did not trust the examiner).
Even after all that I only went from the original 50% to a 70% rating.
