My disability claim from October 2015 is hopefully included in this 70K backlog SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL. It is very strange that "VA Acting Under Secretary for Benefits Thomas Murphy said that figure includes a substantial number of claims left open longer than four months intentionally to ensure veterans are receiving all of the payouts they deserve."
Yes a delay in disability payments results in a larger sum at the end; however, before it is made the veteran is denied the increase. It is a travesty if VA senior government personnel think it is good to delay disability rating decisions.

I know a few of them! So sad. And overwhelming. Maybe. Just maybe. If the VA could hire people, at a competitive wage, it could keep loyal employees. And enough of them. This could be solved.

Capt Tom Brown - Probably not enough! I know the VA clinics in my area cannot find qualified Health Care providers (nurses and doctors) and keep them employed. I hear that pay is not competitive enough to match the demands of the amount of patients and to deal with the crap of the system.
