This shouldn't be a thing. I could have sworn Congress passed law - which has not been repealed - that federal funding g cannot be used for abortions. VA is federally funded.
Now, I could be wrong, and I will welcome someone showing me I am.

Well you're both wrong it's not murder. Not your body, not your business.
I wonder why it is that there are multiple other religions practiced in this country but yet the only one that people want to base any legislation or "morality" on is Christianity? Also add in the fact the Bible doesn't condemn abortion. The Abrahamic god committed the most abortions of anyone - without the pregnant person's consent. And actually murdered babies, children, teens, adults and elderly people.
Abortions were widely practiced and known about during "biblical" times although obviously different methods. Were there places abortions were forbidden? Yes. But when the Bible was written, abortions were widely practiced but yet the Hebrew and Greek equivalents of "abortion" never appear in the OT or NT of the Bible. But abortion opponents cherry pick Bible verses and try to string them together to suggest human life begins at conception or before birth. But it never says that. In fact, Catholics believed until about the 1800s that life began at the "quickening" or when you felt fetal movement. Not at conception (since no one knows when conception happens).
Also why are we ignoring multiple other religions that don't place life at conception when we make legislation or policies on abortion? Plenty of religions believe life begins at birth but yet too many people want to make decisions based on their twisted view of Christianity.
If someone doesn't want to perform an abortion or get one - don't go into the medical field where those happen or don't get one. It's really that simple. Abortion is healthcare. Period.

MAJ Montgomery Granger
Why the attack on religion, specifically Christianity? I never mentioned my religion or anything about it. I merely said, abortion is murder. Have you ever seen pictures or witnessed a sonogram of an unborn child? Have you ever watched or heard an abortion doctor describe an abortion procedure in detail from start to finish? Do those things and then get back with me. In the mean time, I would check myself before attacking people's religious beliefs. It always disappoints me when I hear people attack others for their personal beliefs. It's cowardly, evil and wrong. It's baffling also how non-religious folks try to teach religious folks about their beliefs. Look in the mirror. Let them who are without sin cast the first stone.

SFC Kelly Fuerhoff
MAJ Montgomery Granger - Because that's what all the anti-abortion legislation is based on by the legislators that propose it. NONE of it is based in medicine or science.
Lol have I ever seen an ultrasound of a fetus? Yes I gave birth to a child 8 1/2 years ago. I got one every month after 17 weeks actually because her AFP levels were high and that can be a sign of neural tube defect but it was actually due to her having shitty kidneys due to her dad and I have apparently giving her shitty genetics. So yes I have seen an ultrasound - and? What's your point?
I know exactly what happens during an abortion - I guarantee you have heard it and seen propaganda from anti abortion groups and that's where you base your opinion. Not actual procedures - because the majority of abortions are done in the first trimester.
THIS is what an abortion actually looks like when done in the first trimester: https://www.theguardian.com/world/2022/oct/18/pregnancy-weeks-abortion-tissue
It's literally tissue. Not that bullshit anti-abortion groups spew and enlarging something to make it look like a "baby."
I don't have to do shit. You do not tell me to "check" myself. What you gonna do if I don't "check" myself? You better check your attitude and mentality. I don't play.
You know that majority of non religious people were RAISED CHRISTIAN!! Lol we know your religion. We were indoctrinated in it and then we grew a brain and left it.

What a pregnancy actually looks like before 10 weeks – in pictures
In 13 US states, abortion is banned even in the earliest stages of pregnancy. But we rarely see what such tissue really looks like
