VA resumes Caregiver Program after controversy over caregivers’ removal

I am thrilled to see they are renewing the program, more to the point id like to know what pencil pusher thought it would be a good idea to canX it in the first place. We have all been around the world and the .gov world long enough to know that it all comes down to a meeting were someone is told they get a bonus if they can cut spending. So the lowest and most needy in the system get funding axed and someone pockets a nice fat check.

Nothing will change till we can criminally hold these people accountable for the suffering they cause vets and their families.

It is unclear how the VA intends to help the thousands of caregivers removed from the program over the past two years. I reach out to VA this week and was told training VA staff is underway to improve the program’s operations.

They don't have that problem, with what they earn, they can afford what ever they want.
