You think Lincoln would not have mentioned women if he were alive today.
Lincoln said it 142 years ago when very few women fought. Now around 11% of the military are women so why do we still exclude them.
Not like Lincoln put the motto there himself its only 54 years old.

Funny how this bothers you so much but as a female it doesn't bother me. I don't care about the motto written on the outside of the building. I care about peole getting quality care in a timely manner. The thing that offends me most about the VA is wait lists and shoddy care at some VA facilities. Worrying about some silly motto because certain people think some of us should be offended by it is a waste.
