This looks like a better way to deal with Dr visits. I think we can often use video conference to have a good Dr Visit. Often it is longer to drive to the clinic to see the Dr than the time the Dr actually sees you. This will be great for people who are still working.

I've participated in these online Dr. visits.... It was nice to not have to "visit" the office because I was sick, it was winter AND I had a newborn at home with me .... BUT like everything today, it felt cold, removed and distant... I am not sure I would do it if I were very sick but for the common cold/flu it worked perfectly.

The VA is not the only organization using this tool. The wife of a friend of mine is a physician here in San Diego. She "sees" patients in Kansas several days a week. With what our smart phones may be able to do in the near future it could make doctors more effiecient
