They should also conduct periodic audits of the LA VA to ensure they are not “giving away” the land donated strictly for veterans. This “giving away” practice was curtailed a few years ago through congressional intervention. They found the city of LA, UCLA, and others were getting sweetheart deals to convert the land for their use.
