Venezuela has a bread shortage. The government has decided bakers are the problem.

The problem with socialism is that when there is not enough bread, socialists blame the bakers, confiscate their bakeries, and put political cronies in the bakeries to make bread. As I recall it was just a few years ago, when Venezuela was all the rage among the Hollywood Liberal elite as a shining example for America. I also recall hearing a professor say that "Socialism teaches the poor to steal, the middle class to cheat, and the wealthy to buy influence. "
