URL to old 2014 article about original verdict. Jesse Ventura is severely flawed, but Chris Kyle committed defamation. In order to promote his book, Kyle repeatedly told a fictional story in public settings that Ventura was 'scruff face' who insulted the SEALs. Jesse Ventura became persona non grata among veterans and the publicity supposedly hampered his TV career. Although we are entitled to opinion, the court found that Kyle knowingly and maliciously told a factual lie about Ventura in a widespread manner which is slander.

His down fall happened way before Chris Kyle. And it’s to bad Chris didn’t get to defend himself in court, maybe things would have turned out differently! Funny how a appeal court ruled in Kyles favor and yet double jeopardy with 2 trials he lost.
