I hate hearing stories like this. It's just terrible. It's hard to stomach.

SrA (Join to see) I understand. We serve with pride and this happens. We (government agencies) need to do better by our veterans. As well, we as veterans need to reach out to our veterans as much as possible, if we can, to help, as much as we can. God Bless his family.

CPL Crystal Pettway, MBA - I agree. I try to get as much involved as I can with veterans organizations and other veterans. I want to work on my story and put it in a book that may help and inspire someone else so that suicide will not be an option. It is my hope and prayer that more vets can overcome and live a healthy life.

I’ve seen guys come in to a waiting area. Where I’m waitjng and the VA staff are already behind from rescheduling . Finally the fella is taken back, weighed, blood pressure taken and asked usual questions and then sent backout to wait some more.. and it really gets old.. some have some anxiety issues and need to be seen ASAP .. isn’t that what triage is for ?
