It was a former Navy SEAL who advised Kaepernick to take a knee. But yet, the point gets missed under accusations of unpatriotic behavior. The truth that no one wants to see gets buried.

Going through the motion (kneeling) without then doing anything to improve the situation is like wearing a costume of a character that you don't know. Anyone can make an ass of him or herself in public by raising his/her fist or kneeling when reverence is called for. But if that person doesn't DO anything that addresses and improves the issue that s/he is protesting, then that person is just an attention-whore poser. The article doesn't say if this guy improves community relations with the police in his locality. Do any of those in the NFL do anything to address the situation they are protesting? If not, they are simply attention-whores with no personal discipline or dignity.

MAJ James Woods
Are you doing anything to address or improve the issues these individuals are trying to bring attention to through peaceful demonstration besides mocking them and belittling the issues?
We're all doing it differently and hopefully honestly.
