COL Mikel J. Burroughs I also fall into this category. I was hit by an IED in 2005. Was treated for TBI from 2008-1013 (when I retired). I have sent in copies all of my Army Medical records that show my TBI treatment twice. And the VA in their infinite wisdom, decided that my TBI was not service connected. This the main reason I do not trust the VA.

Welcome to it, mine is like a nightmare of a story in which they have even denied me for things in the same paperwork in which they admitted that I had it.

Be happy. They kept "losing" my paperwork then telling me it was my fault and I would have to refile. THEN they denied me for things that happened on active duty when I was treated in military hospitals. They even changed my appointments without notifying me.
They eventually (5+ years) approved it. Keep ALL paperwork, including appointment slips.

Just part of their pattern. They have been denying claim or losing records for decades in direct opposition of their own rules.

Yeah and Congress likes to pretend that they are just recently learning about all of this, like they haven't known all along that it was going on.

SPC Joshua Dawson - Don't forget Pres. Obama saying he would fix this.... Both in 2008 and 2012.

I was on active duty in a medical facility on Fort Huachuca when I lost consciousness fell backwards slamming my head into metal support. I was transported by ambulance to the emergency room. Where they patched up my head and told me I could not ride my motorcycle for 7 days.
Never had any head scans or tests. Diagnostic results was determined to be Vasal Vagal syndrome.
