This is a great project. I have a close in-law who works for the Library of Congress and she's doing great things to champion this. We need these stories to preserve our voices and point of view, even if you think they are boring.

Fully agree. "Boring" is oftentimes subjective. One can learn much from a "boring" person - dedication, discipline, focus, to name a few.

I'm not interested. The question set steers towards wartime experience, primarily looking for trigger puller stories. The majority of Vets don't appear to be wanted. So if you're a former ICBM cave dweller, or had highlights of working natural disasters, or flew a barber chair, they're not interested in you. A lot of nasty stuff goes on outside of "warfare", but that doesn't seem to be sought out. Even so, much of the hairy stuff tends to have eternal gag orders, so you can't go there anyways.
