GET THE WORD OUT ACROSS THE MIDWEST FOR THIS VETERANS MARCH ON AMERICA RALLYPOINT MEMBERS AND CONNECTIONS - THANKS FOR YOUR SUPPORT.
HERE IS THE MISSION OF THE EVENT HOST BY VICTORY FOR VETERANS/VETERANS MARCH ON AMERICA
Come March With Us
It's time to come together as Americans and shed light on Veterans and the lack of treatment we are getting from our country. This is our mission. Our goal is to have an organized, peaceful assembly of Veterans from all Services, in cities and towns all across America, including your town. We will do this in a peaceful dignified manner befitting our character of service.
Mission Statement
We as veterans, their families, friends, communities, and citizens must come together in this mission. We are ONE VOICE that can command awareness and bring change for the veterans that combat daily challenges because of a disorganized system.
We will march for all veterans from all branches of service that are facing the many issues of a broken, incompetent, frustrating healthcare & support system.
We will march as one voice for the largest population of home-less veterans in history.
We will march to bring awareness, change, hope, and solutions to the home battlefield where so many fight their private battles
We will march and assemble in a peaceful, respectful manner reflective of our military service and character. This march will not be political, violent, discriminatory, or divisive in any form.
CORE VALUES
Commitment: To work tirelessly to serve Veterans and their families. To be devoted to the sincere belief in the mission of Veterans March On: America. To fulfill my individual and organizational responsibilities.
Advocacy: To be Veteran oriented by identifying, fully considering, and appropriately advancing the well being of Veterans and their Families.
Respect: To treat all those I serve and with whom I work with dignity and respect. To always strive to show respect and earn it.
Excellence: Strive for excellence in everything I do. To be thoughtful and decisive in leadership, and accountable for my actions.

God willing it will get some or better yet most or all the problems with VA fixed and we can start getting the best health care in the world.

SFC George Sease - It's a huge start. If we can get 200,000 American marching across the country to get the current POTUS to produce his tax returns, let's get 200,000 or more American to March for our Veterans and those who keep us free. Just my 2 cents George!

I live in Iowa and obviously support veterans causes but there is not a snowballs chance in hell that I will attend this event. Some reporter will twist this into making it seem like this is political and against the current administration. I would not join a "march" on anything.
You want to organize a 5k or 10k to benifit vets in des moines? I will be there. You want to hold a charity event to help with vets suicide hotline? I will be there and try and get my civilian employer to participate. Anything resembling a "protest" or other form of "march" or "we're mad as hell and not going to take it any more kind of stuff"? Count me out. Sorry.

MSgt D. this isn't a protest march this is a Call for Action and Attention March in my eyes. The more people that attend the more attention it garners. Please reconsider for the benefit of our Veterans. It will be peaceful, respectful and honorable as it addresses the sad truth that veteran suicide is a common occurrence and is happening more often than you think. Maybe your involvement will help save one veteran. Oh and if you are worried that the media will twist this into something it isn't, be willing to talk to a reporter and set him or her straight. Good Luck on your next 5 or 10K too!

This is not a protest of angry people. We have multiple people involved that were on the Trump campaign. I can't say the media won't try to twist it in any way, but we will also have a few political speakers. This is a march to encourage change in the administration to better serve our Veterans. We are marching 2.2 miles in honor and remembrance of our Vets that succeed suicide on a daily basis, to draw more awareness also. Our President will be highly respected and the people running the show and speaking are all supporters to my knowledge. I have made it clear that this is not a political march (aside from the issues and a few political speakers). This march is about our Veterans, period. You have every right to your opinion, but I do disagree on the negativity. No one can predict whether it will be twisted by media or not until that bridge is crossed and that's a fact. Thank you for your input, regardless.

I am sorry if I am a bit of a cynic. maybe its the Gen X in me. With the recent bills passing conngress about healthcare I can see someone like Schumer getting up on TV and saying "Iowa vets are marching because they want more mental heathcare and this wouldn't have been a problem if the repuclicans weren't trying to destroy obamacare"
I believe that YOU personally are doing this for the right reasons and although I agree in principle and wish you the best, it is just not something for me. Thanks.

That's ok, and I respect your wishes. Schumer or anyone else that wants to will say whatever they want, but regardless of what he or anyone else says, these changes need to take place. We are losing way too many Vets (one is too many) over the last 7+ years. We can't afford to keep losing them to our broken system. I understand your position.

Thank you for the invite, but Des Moines is a little far away, hope you have a great turnout.
