Having had my PMP for 10 years I can attest to the value that this brings in your career. I strongly encourage others to pursue this certification and work to maintain it over the years. There are contracts written where the PM must have a PMP and if you don't your losing out on a potential opportunity.

PMP is a great certification for transitioning service members, really everything you have done on active duty relates to managing a project. Also get a head hunter they find jobs and talent as a profession unless you have a real good lead on a job you want.
