I wish this ASSHOLE would say that crap to me. Another jerk who hides behind the walls of academia and believes he speaks for the majority of Americans. I ran into prejudice in college from 1969-73 when I had the insolence to tell a sociology professor that he was full of crap about Vietnam. I told him then that his proposition that the Vietnam War was just a grassroots insurgency sprung from the peoples’ discontent with an illegitimate government in Saigon and the presence of a foreign invader was crap. He said I was a warmonger. Uh Huh - he could not explain to me why it was that Hanoi sent the supplies south along the Ho Chi Minh to keep the war going and that those supplies were coining from Russia and China. I had Fraternity Brothers who came back from Nam. One was LRRP and told me of what HE PERSONALLY SAW on trail watch over the fence in Cambodia and Laos. I confronted the professor with that evidence and he said - once again that I was just a war monger.

I know this much. Anyone with a political agenda will do and say whatever it takes in order to gain sympathy or support for their own point of view. Extremes exist on all sides and exploitation of opportunities will invariably take place. I actually did experience this type of prejudice in college, and from more than just one lone professor from some fringe element, albeit to a much lesser degree than the professor in Gina video displayed.Maybe because it was common knowledge that I was in the military and a combat veteran or maybe because I didn’t camouflage my political viewpoints and I had zero difficulty in articulating and defending my views. I don’t know and I don’t really care. The point is that there was a deliberate effort, no matter how covert or overt, to convince me that my views were not in any way mainstream or in any way shared by others. Although some fellow students frequently approached me with support and agreement, no professor I interacted with ever did.
In any case, I was never opposed to the point where any individual would have addressed me in tones used by this professor to a young student. That would have Ben an extremely unwise approach to take with me at that point in time anyway.... still not a very smart move today, although I have mellowed somewhat since retiring and moving into civilian life...
Either way, the professor in th video is dead wrong in his manner and experience has shown me that those with his political mindset are far more numerous in academia than most will admit.

Agreed. They are so extreme with their views and very extreme with their intolerance when screaming at everyone to be tolerant.
They are just friggen nuts / psycho.
The pendulum needs to swing back to normal in this country.
