Rightwingers are socialists. Populism is essentially a flavor of socialism. The Nazis were socialists. The fascists as well. Their fighting with the communists was largely over competition for the allegiance of the same demographics. Classical Western free-enterprise, individualist society is neither Left nor Right: it is liberal, a term that American political enthusiasts and commentators have allowed the Left to hijack.
