Unveiled at the 2016 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance on its world premiere, the Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 is a truly gorgeous, full electric concept car. The Vision is a glorious showcase of design but also technology, in fact something that is quite impressive to see is that the car was able to be moved away by simply using a remote!

I will share with you my feelings about this new electric Mercedes sport car. I have been a car nut since 1948 when the first Hot Rod magazine was available in the drug store near my home. I have always been in love with the V8 combustion engine. Starting with Henry Ford's flathead V8s. My first car at the age of 15, was a 1932 Ford 5 window coupe, with Henry's first V8 engine under the hood. I have owned several sports cars in my long life of being a very strong automobile enthusiast. I presently own a Mercedes Benz SL 550 sports car with a healthy V8 engine under the hood. It has a custom exhaust system that has a deep rumble and makes my heart throb very fast when I get on the accelerator pedal a little too seriously.
What I'm trying to say without being too nasty about it is that if the car that I own doesn't have a healthy V8 engine with a deep throaty sound, I don't want anything to do with it. A silent electric car does nothing for me. I wouldn't own one if it was given to me free of charge and was gold plated.
I am very elated that I won't be around when cars on the freeways are driverless and electric powered.
Below are a couple of pictures of what I consider to be the ultimate in car ownership.
We are all given the right to our own opinions about everything in this world. These are mine about electric cars. If it doesn't rumble real sweetly when you hit the throttle, it fails all of my tests for a car that a man should drive, because he should totally enjoy the sounds it makes. What kind of sound does an electric car make. None that I know of.

Thanks for sharing the video of Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL. I concur with SFC George Smith's response. This is too rich and also it is too low for my lower back to get into. I hope my next vehicle will be a mid-size SUV with lumbar support, great sound system and clear views all around.
