VMAs: Kevin Hart faces boycott threats from Trump supporters after 'kneeling' jab

You're probably right that there aren't that many Trump supporters who are Kevin Hart fans. The only possibility I see for this hurting Hart is if he has any fans who *aren't* supportive of kneeling as a statement - he might have a few of those. But Hollywood isn't going to disinvite him from hosting or acting gigs unless it thinks people boycotting him can have an effect on the bottom line.

Most of the comments I hear about boycotts are by people who aren't already consumers of the product, or fans of the entertainer, that they're calling for a boycott of. Often, when I hear someone say, "We should boycott X," I'll ask them "how many times have you bought X?" (or watched their movies, read their book, bought their music).
