Great to know. I'd like to add that just because you were denied VR&E in the past, it is always worth while to resubmit a request. Rules change, bad Intel gets corrected, and policies get affected by media pressure.

They were kind enough to put me through two certification courses. This program is a fantastic benefit. They will make you jump though a whole lot of hoops. But it is worth the effort.

SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL - Unfortunately, after I had obtained two very valuable certifications within my chosen civilian field, I realized I truly hated what I was doing. It does not matter how much they pay me to do a desk job, I am not built for living in a cube behind a computer. Now I work for me and the certifications are meaningless. This however was my choice and does not take away from the great things this program does.

Thanks fro letting us know SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL about the "Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment (VR&E) Program... which helps veterans with service-connected disabilities and employment handicaps prepare for, find, and keep suitable jobs."
Hopefully this program benefits many handicapped and disabled veterans.
