What type of volunteer work do you want to do? the ILP track is for the very disabled who can not work and need help at home.
Independent Living services may be provided to individuals who are not currently able to work because of the effects of service-connected disabilities. Provided services are limited to those required to improve independence at home and in the community.
Each Individualized Independent Living Plan is personalized to meet the individual's specific needs. In general, independent living services cannot last more than 24 months. Services may be extended if certain criteria are met.
Individuals who are pursuing employment goals may also receive independent living services if these services are required to support the achievement of their vocational objective.

It's kinda involved, I'd seen you'd also sent in to another one I'd sent on another volunteer/goodwill/unpaid way VA voc rehab has aside from this one, I'll try to answer on this also...what I'm seeking to do, being as I'm clinical allied-health doctoral trained, is to be able to find a way to volunteer over by the VA hospital we use for me by us...the problem is, we had to shut my license off due to the whole total perm disability thing for me, those at the hospital also want a resume, when you're total perm disabled, as I'd looked into, there are really seriously strict rules about how exactly one is allowed to give a resume, and to whom, and what groups, I've really dug into the whole topic...the one who'd raised the way here, the whole independent-living thing, was one of the senior VA Central Ofc (VACO) aides, who's apparently their guru on such volunteer/goodwill/unpaid mechanisms...believe me, we've had me be all over the whole thing for about a decade now, trying to find a way, we've had me go to all three Congress ofcs as well, in addn to numerous other VACO groups, honest...when you've got more time, I'd certainly be most eager to hear more, if you've been able to make use of this method, or any of the others that are similar, by all means, appreciate the answer, certainly, in any event, of course....
