"Currently, two places now have enacted $15 minimum wage laws — New York, California and Washington, D.C."

That's where I stopped reading. Counting to 3 is even beyond the writer's grasp.

Always hard to take advice from someone on finance if they haven't mastered the basics yet.

If New York, California, and Washington DC are the only TWO places that have instituted $15 minimum wages, shouldn’t we be looking for a real journalist, or maybe a 5th grader to proofread everything?

Here's the part I don't get; according to the libs, the reason business owners aren't already paying more than the current minimum wage is because they're more than happy to screw their employees to make more profit because greed. But these same libs seem to think that these same greedy business owners, when forced to pay more, will happily give up those profits and not lay employees off or raise their prices or cut quality. Liberalism is a mental disorder akin to standing on one's head and screaming that the rest of the world is upside down.

Well said and current profit levels for small business owners is 5% +/- and to pay higher wages would put them out of business. Those "DUMMIES " simply don't get it. Oh well, it does take a brain to understand something that "complex"!

What every article on the subject fails to address is the effect on workers who's current wage is between minimum and $15. The people who have worked hard to advance, and who will take defacto pay cuts when their earnings are "raised" only to minimum wage. What effects does this have on their life style with no proportional raise, less hours, and inflated prices?
