Wanda opens world’s biggest movie studio in China

Hollywood surrendered its dominance in creativity when the bean counters took over. Same with network broadcast television. If Wanda wants to assume that mantle, they'll have to do battle with the small independents all over the world who are producing the most creative, entertaining film. To be fair, I don't think they have a chance. I've seen China's attempt to entertain with massive scale. Remember the Beijing Olympics? They were far more frightening than entertaining. I don't think that building a massive studio is the best strategy. They would be better off distributing small scale production equipment to the masses and allowing the best talent to percolate to the top. Of course, they won't dare do that, will they? Heaven only knows what counter-revolutionary ideas might be disseminated. Socialism in all its forms, likes to centralize its resources where they can be controlled and, oh yes, distributed "fairly"
