Col...this is pretty basic...i would imagine that an individual that has leadership skills and is versed the study of human relations would not have to think twice about checking ego....why is it that some of our recognized "great" leaders still had an ego that needed to be put on a leash?

You meet all types in the service. I was called to my Battalion Commander's office on his second day of command. I had no more than reported to him then his phone rang. I stood in front of his desk why he talked to someone at "BRANCH" about his "NEXT" assignment.
