I wish that people would learn to use the word "democracy" correctly. In many cases "civilization" would be more apt. A civilization, for those who don't know, is a society governed by civilians. Socialism, by contrast, is an oligarchy, a society ruled by a small group of people, which almost inevitably evolves into an autocracy, a society ruled by one (a dictator). But, for the purposes of this article, we may infer that "democracy" is used to mean a society ruled by civilians using democratic means to select government leaders. That being said, I can't imagine any such film being awarded an Oscar in an industry dominated by the Left (socialists of all stripes including Social Democrats, Communists, Fascists, and Nazis)
