Yup - the end of the allies' illusion of unity. The Cold War will start here. The SS division Dirlewanger was made up of penal/reject forces and were just the folks to do the job as regular SS and regular army were getting beaten to a standstill. Had the uprising been supported, Warsaw could easily have opened a front that Hitler would have had to rush to fill. With the front opened, the SS would have had to stream out of Russia to fill the gap en masse which would have enabled Stalin to start his offensive earlier. Stalin could then have been in Berlin by the time of Market Garden. Instead, he would butcher more of his own forces by doing things the long way. We were aware of his actions and stupidly refused to punish him. We could have withheld lend lease supplies which would have gotten his attention.
