SSgt (Join to see) It seems like in any government/organization/state you can go in an clear out the cronyism from the last administration. It is just too easy for people to build the corrupt padded contract relationships and it takes very little time. Happy to see that he is calling out the prior poor structure, they normally don't do that.

LTC John Shaw - The last governor, Jay Nixon, is the epitome of career politician. Since the day he graduated Law School he started running for Governor. He was Atty General for MO for the longest time, it seems, until he finally won the governorship. I distinctly remember working the even at a police officer when then candidate Barack Obama came to Mizzou to rally. Good ol' Jay was pissed when his speaking time was revoked from him because the candidate didn't want to spend too much time. It is common thought that Nixon is just biding his time to run for Congress against a weak Republican candidate.

I think that was one of Greitens' strong points - he hasn't been mired in politics his whole life. The whole nation felt that way, but it seemed that MO was a microcosm of the country as we routinely unseated, or did not vote, for those that have done nothing but be a politician this last go around.

SSgt (Join to see) - Agreed, we need less of the political types and more of those who want to actual do something for people who produce and work for a living.

LTC John Shaw - unfortunately, turns out he was just a general scumbag that then got in to politics. He's now getting back into the Navy, albeit not as a SeAL.
